Melissa’s has responded quickly by updating their Nail Client Cards to the Oregon requirements. Further, by replacing their distributors stock of client cards with the "New" Oregon Compliant ones. You may obtain the new client cards at the following Oregon Melissa distributors: 

With the new rules for gathering client information comes penalties for violations. First offense is a $100 violation, with second or third offenses climbing to $300 to $500 respectively.

Melissa’s reports that use of "old" non compliance cards could trigger fines as specific detailed profile questions must be addressed. Some profile information required is: Bleeding disorders, topical solution allergies, skin conditions, medical conditions and complications at the nail service. A Nail Tech’s name, license number is also required.

A Nail Tech should review their current Nail Client Profile cards to see if theirs are compliant with Oregon's specific detailed requirements.

Oregon state officials are concerned that if they run into an infectious situation, they will be able to track down and contact as many clients who are potential victims as they can.
